BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO of BD, a software development company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE What challenge were you trying to address with ColorWhistle? We wanted to create WordPress plugins to complement our core software. However, we didn't have any WordPress plugin development experience, so we decided to outsource to experts who could help expedite the process.
SOLUTION What was the scope of their involvement? ColorWhistle has created three separate WordPress plugins, which are now in the WordPress plugin repository. The team continues to work with us to enhance and add new features to the plugins. We also have more plugin ideas that we want to release with them soon. What is the team composition? We work with 2–4 teammates from ColorWhistle. How did you come to work with ColorWhistle? We found ColorWhistle through a Google search. We chose them because of their work history, responsiveness, and professionalism. Additionally, WordPress plugin development was their specialty. What is the status of this engagement? We started working together in January 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? ColorWhistle's knowledge of what's possible with WordPress plugins has helped guide and expedite the entire process. How did ColorWhistle perform from a project management standpoint? ColorWhistle's project management is very organized. They deliver on time and provide fair pricing, super communication, and timely updates. We primarily communicate via Teams, Skype, and email. We also have calls to discuss the scope of the project. We have QA check-ins to ensure that the deliverables match the project scope. ColorWhistle completes a phase and then asks me to test it. If everything is good, they move on to the next phase; otherwise, I provide notes, and they fix the issues quickly. What did you find most impressive about them? I'm most impressed with ColorWhistle's knowledge of developing and submitting WordPress plugins. Are there any areas they could improve? No, they're good. Do you have any advice for potential customers? I recommend working with ColorWhistle.
