Detailed Feedback
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the global project manager for a mid-sized company that belongs to a larger business group. We’re a global company with offices in North America, South America, and Europe.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE What challenge were you trying to address with ColorWhistle? Our website was too old-fashioned and unsuitable for our purpose and new strategy as a company. Given that, we engaged ColorWhistle to help us.
SOLUTION What was the scope of their involvement? ColorWhistle worked with us to revamp our website. We had a discovery process where they mocked up designs for the website based on our brand guidelines. Our team wanted the designs to be modern, relevant to our industry, and respectful of our corporate identity. Once these designs were approved, they proceeded to develop the website based on the requirement we listed. The development was done in phases via WordPress. We tested each release as they were given to us until we reached the final stage. We migrated the data and content from the old website to the new one, though everything else was built from scratch. They did some maintenance for the site but didn’t provide hosting. In terms of features, the website was a basic one; it had simple content, and users could download documents and watch videos. There was a password-restricted area for customers to access further content. On top of that, we had an automatic translation feature for our content and a language setting feature. What is the team composition? I interfaced with their CEO on technical and business topics. An account manager was assigned to the project, and we dealt directly with a technical manager and a designer. These people were our main contact points, but many other resources worked on the project. How did you come to work with ColorWhistle? We searched on Google and found their references. Our team spoke to the companies they previously worked with, and we discovered they were highly professional. Overall, the team met our key criteria and had great references. As a result, we hired them. What is the status of this engagement? The project lasted from April–December 2022; it took eight months mostly due to our company’s internal issues.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We received good feedback from various people and internal customers on the design, look, feel, and content of the website. Moreover, the site had few issues, which ColorWhistle reported to us. They corrected these issues in a timely manner, responding promptly to our needs. How did ColorWhistle perform from a project management standpoint? I was satisfied with their project management. They had plans for the phase and constantly communicated with us to provide status updates. When our team failed to provide timely input, they followed up with us to ensure we stayed on track. To communicate, we mainly used emails. We also used Google Meet and Teams to share our screens and discuss whatever was needed. What did you find most impressive about them? ColorWhistle was extremely professional, and they didn’t let us down — they always gave us whatever we needed. The team was willing to provide us with the best service and guidance possible. Are there any areas they could improve? No, there weren’t any. Do you have any advice for potential customers? Tell ColorWhistle your expectations — be clear and upfront about your requirements, and provide them with the necessary information. If possible, establish a feedback schedule. Communicate clearly, and you’ll be successful with the team.
