WordPress Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to join our creative and dynamic team at ColorWhistle. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in WordPress development, a passion for clean, efficient code, and the ability to turn concepts into functional, visually appealing websites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites
  • Build custom themes and plugins as per project requirements
  • Convert design mockups into responsive WordPress websites
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO
  • Work with ACF, Elementor, and other page builders
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers
  • Perform regular website maintenance and updates

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2.5 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL
  • Experience with custom theme & plugin development
  • Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, etc.
  • Knowledge of WooCommerce is a plus
  • Understanding of website performance, security, and SEO
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and team collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Git, cPanel, and hosting environments
  • Exposure to REST API and third-party integrations
  • Knowledge of basic design tools like Figma, Adobe XD
