Even though you provide good content on your webpage, suppose if it does not have a user-friendly interface and consumes more time to load, there are high chances for people to bounce out of your page and return to the SERP.

It is proven from the study taken by SalesForce that just a one-second delay in your page load time can decrease your conversion rate by 7%.

Today, many people are wishing to use the internet connection at a lightning speed. It has become a simple thing to fetch information with just one click in the search tab.

Search engines like Google, calculate the CTR and the dwell time of the users on the site before bouncing out for SEO ranking. In 2020, the search engines are expected to give high rankings for the dwell time.

Therefore, Google recognizes a site to be at the top of its SERP, if that particular site calculates more amount of CTR & dwell time of the users.

So, it is of no wonder click-through rate(CTR) metrics will go trending in SEO in the coming year 2020.

7. Snippets Dominate More Search Clicks

Featured snippets or answer boxes will help you with the challenges you face in the SEO ranking of your website. These are placed in the ‘0’th position above the number 1 organic search result.

It is advised not to take this trend as a light thing, here is a stat from SearchEnginePeople to surprise you, it says that 54.68% of clicks from Google originate from featured snippets.

In today’s faster world, no one is mindful to search for results scrolling down the SERP’s but go for the results at the top of the SERP. This is where feature snippet gives opportunities for working incredibly.

Interesting stats:

  • Ben Goodsell reports that the click-through rate (CTR) on a featured page increased from two percent to eight percent once it’s placed in an answer box, with revenue from organic traffic increasing by 677%.
  • Eric Enge highlights a 20–30% increase in traffic for ConfluentForms.com while they held the featured snippet for the query.

So, you can make use of this SEO trend in 2020 by providing relevant, authoritative, informative answers to the queries.

8. Secure Websites Are a Must

The last and the most important SEO trend of 2020 include security. It does not have any direct impact on the SEO part but security will be taken into account while considering the user experiences.

To illustrate, visitors will abruptly bounce out of your page if it is throwing a security alert message.

Eventually, the high bounce rates will impact the position of your page in the organic search listing.

To protect your online identity and personal information, your sites should be embedded with security options. According to Web Fundamentals, “HTTPS help prevent intruders from tampering with the communications between your websites and your users’ browsers.”

Therefore, search engines like Google prefer to give users a secure user experience. So sites that implement the HTTPS may get top ranks in 2020.

Conclusion

Search engines like Google are finding many tricky ways to learn more about the user’s search intention.

1. Understanding the Intention of the User’s Search

User-Search-Intention

Neil Patel, co-founder of Hello Bar says that “There’s no such thing as people typing in random queries without a reason for typing in those queries. A searcher must have intent.”

According to Forester’s study, 93% of online experiences begin with a search engine. And, approximately 4000 searches are carried out on Google in a day. And it is not that all users specify a similar keyword for search. Therefore, you should know the intention of the user’s search.

One of the dominant factors for ranking the user’s search intention is the keywords specifications.

  • Informational search: Keywords may be specified to acquire knowledge about something, e.g content marketing trends, bitcoin price
  • Navigational search: Use of keywords to get into a site, e.g YouTube, CNN news.
  • Transitional search: Keywords will be given for purchasing something, e.g oven, sleep mask.

To be a successful content marketer, you should feel free in tracking the intention of the user’s search. Currently, the user’s search intention is at the center point of attraction in content marketing.

Of no doubt, knowing the intention of the user’s search will go trending in the upcoming year 2020

2. Interactive Content

Interactive-Content

3. Social Media

Social-Media

In olden days, marketers were organizing campaigns, publishing advertisements on TV’s, distributing paper bills, and other places where people gather. At present, mostly all are available on social media like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Interesting Statistics:

  • According to Statista, the global digital population is just over 4 billion. That includes 3.7 billion mobile internet users. There are also just over 3 billion social media users
  • The Marketing Land says that over 70% of media time and 79% of social media time happens on mobile devices

Here are some of the social media channels that are already ahead in the race and will also gain more popularity in 2020

  • Ephemeral content – Instagram, Snapchat stories
  • Niche social platforms – LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitch
  • Social media business – Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Yelp,
  • Video content – YouTube

If you are currently not optimizing for social media, start using social media in your content marketing strategies. This is because social media is going to become the future of content marketing.

4. Augmented Reality

Augumented-Reality

Augmented Reality combines virtual reality and real-world to give live & real visualizations. Therefore, consumers obtain real-time experience. According to Deloitte, almost 90% of companies with annual revenues of $100 million to $1 billion are now leveraging AR or VR technology.

  • According to ISACA, nearly 70% of consumers believe AR could help in learning new personal and professional skills.

5. Podcasts & Webinars

PODCAST-WEBINAR

Another prominent way to present content would be through live videos. Nowadays, consumers are interested in watching video content more than going through a blog or listening to audios.

Jayson DeMers predicts “Live video will stabilize as an available means of communication by 2020”.

Videos have the power to stir up emotions and motivate viewers to take action. When you post live streaming videos, you can communicate with your audience, answer their queries, host interviews with experts, give product demonstrations and many more. Omnichannel-Marketing

According to Rytis Lauris, “Omnichannel marketing helps brands to create messages that customers want to see when they want to see, and on the channels, they prefer the most.”

A stat from Marketing Land says that 62% of consumers who engage their favorite brands on 10+ channels make weekly purchases.

Omnichannel marketing gives your customers a seamless interacting experience with your brand. Today, the marketing channels have grown large in numbers. Therefore you should ensure that your services are available in all the marketing channels. For instance, online (digital content, blogs, e-books, infographics, email campaigns, social media, apps, etc) and offline (in-store environments, print advertising, signs, catalogs, direct mail, etc).

9. Co-Branding Strategies

Co-Branding Strategies

Yes, co-branding is going to be trending in content marketing. Instead of using individual products two or more brands will be combined together.

Here are some examples of co-branding,

  • Hershey combining with General Mills gives chocolate giant and betty crocker.
  • Best Wester collaborates with Harley-Davidson to give the best western ride rewards.
  • Apple and Nike collaborations brought Nike+iPod products.

Before you begin to start collaborating with a brand, take the advice from Bloomberg Business:

  • Look for partners who share your core values. This avoids unwanted damage to your brand name because of the mistakes of your partner.
  • Become a partner with brands that are “best in the market”.
  • Retain the rights to review and approve all communications before the release of the new brand.

With the co-branding strategies, the reach for your products will be high, manufacturing cost can be shared, the scope for the products will be high, etc. In 2020, co-branding is going to be in practice. Therefore, optimize co-branding strategies in your business.

10. Expertise, Authentication, & Trustworthy Content [E-A-T]

EAT-Strategy

Normally, when you want to describe a person, you talk about their stature, weight, color and others. This is the same in the case of content marketing, if you want people to talk about your content & services then you must provide expertise, authoritative and trustworthy content.

In 2015, Google introduced the Quality Rater Guidelines where E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) must be included.

Therefore, when you create content with E-A-T, consider these things:

  • Links from authoritative websites with supporting stats, data, and facts.
  • Updating your site according to the changing trends.
  • Providing your bio in the about page.

The quality rater, however, is not going to rank your content depending on the keywords and links. The sites or pages without purpose, content that is not helping users, harming content, misinforming and deceiving content would be given the lowest rating, and the content with E-A-T will be leading in the SERP.

Additional Tips

Before winding up, let us quickly go through some of the strategies that content writers must use in content marketing

  • Focus on your target audience
  • Evoke your users to take actions
  • Plan and research before you begin
  • Use simple words or phrases
  • Align the content to business goals
  • Understand the basics of SEO, HTML, CSS
  • Leverage third-party data in your content
  • Design the content with graphics, videos, images

Conclusion

These days, it is hard for marketers to attract people through traditional marketing practices like prospectus, bills, posters, placards, etc. Demand Metric says that content marketing costs 62% less than traditional marketing and generates about 3 times as many leads.

It is not that content marketing will remain the same all the time. There will be changes. To be successful marketers, always provide your customers with content that is trending and relevant to your industry!

What Are The 5 A’s of Tourism?

Are you curious to know about the 5 A’s of tourism?

Apart from formulating an effective marketing plan, the components of the 5 A’s of tourism have to be taken into account as part of your branding strategy

In this blog, we have listed the 5 A’s of tourism which will help you create a strong and positive image of your agency in the tourist’s mind.

Here we go

1. Attraction

Attraction-Travel-components

Today, people seek attraction in everything – the food they eat, the clothes they wear, etc.
Why attraction is important for the Travel & Tourism industry?

According to Phocuswright, 36% of people rated travel as an important priority for spending their time and money. The NYU states that 68% of tourists pay more attention to attractive places to travel. Today, different groups of people are traveling and exploring a lot around the world.

Though all people travel, their reasons for traveling might differ from person-to-person. Some people travel,

  • To write novels, epics, short stories. Usually, writers have the habit of traveling to get new ideas
  • To spend their vacation, this is evident from the study by Travel Agent Central stating that around $101.1 billion is spent by Americans on summer vacations.
  • To relax from the depressions caused by the outer world. The Global Commission on Ageing and Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies in partnership with the U.S. Travel Association stated that traveling actually keeps you healthy.

How will travelers know about the services you offer?

According to Facebook, 87% of people get inspired to travel from social media. Therefore, you can post charming images and virtual reality videos on your page and impress your viewers.

Typically, people get closer to things that attract them. Therefore, you can grasp the attention of many people through your attractive travel sites.

2. Activities

Activities-Tourism-Components

Actually, how can you make an ordinary trip an extraordinary one? The answer to this question will be activities. Other than anything else, activities like hiking, biking, trekking actually impress your travelers.

  • According to Short Term Rentalz 2019, 85% of families said that their priority for travel was outdoor activities.
  • TripAdvisor’s latest analysis stated that snorkeling activities have gone up to 64% since last year and sailing trips have gone up to 55% within the last year.

For instance, if a person goes for a trip to a beach spot, there should be boats, lifejackets, emergency kits, etc so it would be possible for a traveler to actively go for a boat ride.

You can use technologies like augmented reality, virtual reality to design videos on your websites and create awareness about the available travel activities.

3. Accessibility

Accessibility-Tourism-Components

Accessibility to a place is the most important thing in travel as it helps a person to reach that place of attraction. Some of the most visited areas by tourists are France, Singapore, Rome, Italy, China, Mexico, etc.

Each tourist place in these countries follows various terms and conditions. Some rules would be like,

  • In Singapore, if you spit chewing gum in public places, you will have to pay $1000 as a penalty.
  • Traffic rules are strictly followed in Mexico that everyone on the road should know in which direction to move.
  • Both men and women are supposed to follow the dress codes while visiting the holy places in Rome.

Another difficulty of a traveler in accessing a place would be transportation. Based on the regions, transport also varies

  • The gondola is the mode of transport used in Italy.
  • People of France use Trams for moving from one place to another.
  • The Turkish countrymen have underground funicular railways as their transport.

It would be more interesting for tourists if they are already familiar with these transport mediums, rules, and regulations.

4. Accommodation

Accommodation-Travel-Components

When a traveler goes on a trip, he/she wishes to have a good place to stay with all amenities and luxuries. A place with lots of comforts attracts travelers even more.

  • The Short Term Rentalz says that 60% of family travelers like to accommodate in hotels, while 21% prefer to resorts.
  • The Booking website gives an analysis that 73% of travelers yearn to stay in greenish accommodation at least once in their lifetime

In the olden days, travelers used to book the rooms through a travel agent or by contacting the hotel accommodations team.

For instance, what would be the first thing that a traveler who is planning for a trip does? The traveler searches for the availability of rooms in the net along with many queries like – Are there any local affiliations near to the Hotel? What about the food menu provided? Am I entitled to any exclusive amenities inside my room?

At that time, if your website acts as an answer key for the tourist’s questions, then you will be able to stand out from your competitors.

5. Amenities

You cannot easily win the heart of your traveler unless you provide the required amenities.

Interesting statistics about amenities of a Traveler,

Sockets – According to PR Newswire Association, 81% of people agree that they take smartphones during travel as their primary accessory. You can provide sockets to charge these electronic devices like tablets, gadgets, laptops.

Personalized lavatories – Cornell University states that 86% of travelers used the available toiletries. Therefore, you can provide amenities like personal-sized shampoos, conditioners, body washes, hand soap, etc.

When travelers get impressed by the facilities you offer during their stay, even for their next trips they will come again to your travel agency. Also, they will start recommending your services to others. Therefore, the amenities you provide will bring greater promotions to your travel business!.

  • According to travel statistics by Google, 57% of travelers feel that travel websites should customize information based on their past bookings and personal preferences.
  • HubSpot states that 61% of users are unlikely to return to a site if they had trouble loading it on their mobile device and 40% of users are likely to jump ship to a competitor’s site if the mobile site of their preferred brand takes a long time to load.

6. Affordability

This is the sixth ‘A’ but nonetheless very important to attract tourists to the destination. Tourists should be able to afford the trip in terms of transport costs, accommodation charges, entrance fees at attractions and the number of days, which need to be spent on travel and stay; i.e. they should be able to afford the holiday in terms of time and money. Tour operators prepare package tours keeping affordability in mind. These group tours work out cheaper than individuals booking their own tickets and making itineraries for themselves

A successful destination would have a good balance between these six ‘A’s and ensure that there is something to see and do for people of different ages and backgrounds so that a large number of tourists visit the place.

Conclusion

Apart from the classic five ‘A’s of tourism, we suggest a sixth ‘A’ which is vital to the tourism agency’s success, Affordability.

The travel expenses like transport costs, accommodation charges, entrance fees, and many more should be at an affordable price for travelers. For this reason, tourist agencies are coming up with new projects on package tours. This is because, those who are traveling on package tours do not have to book tickets, plan itineraries on their own because the tour operators themselves plan everything for travel at a cheaper cost.

Thus, if the destined touring spots should have more visitors, then the above mentioned A’s should be balanced equally, and also travelers of different age groups and backgrounds should have some things interesting for them to explore.

Generally, in the tourism industry, attraction and activities go hand in hand. Even though the 5 components are important for trips, in recent years, attraction & activities have become the heart and soul of successful tourism!

Thus, travel aspirants should be aware that your agency provides all these 5 A’s. And the travel agents can reveal it to travelers via the website. If you are in the travel & tourism industry and are looking to create an attractive travel website to improve your brand image, feel free to send a request. Our team is always happy to assist you.
